The Dogon tribe are a West African tribe in Mali. They say that they descend from ancient Egyptians and have had knowledge of Astronomy since 3200 BC. According to their knowledge, the star Sirius has a companion star which is invisible to the human eye. This companion star has a 50 year elliptical orbit around the visible Sirius and is extremely heavy. It also rotates on its axis.
Modern science has been able to prove what they have always known but because of pure, unadulterated RACISM, most articles refuse to give them full credit, saying it would be impossible for them to know or that they might have come in contact with western science a while ago for them to know but that math, simply does not math. They can’t fathom a group of people they consider primitive and subhuman to have such accurate, complex knowledge much like them not wanting to give credit to ancient Africans for building the pyramids.
And 2 of Stephanie Rose Bird’s books (second hand because I know who she supports) Stick Stones Roots & Bones as well as 365 Days of Hoodoo.
I’ve already skimmed through Bird’s Stick Stones and it has repeats of 365. I’m feeling 365 better than the former.
Will come back one day and review them all.
I’m currently reading 365. I have thoughts lmao. its an easy read and has good info, but there’s just a lot of ridiculous stuff in it too.
But I’m glad that it’s easily accessible and in ebook format. I’m gonna be doing Jambalaya next! I just haven’t found an ebook (idk if there is).
I don’t think there is an ebook. I have the physical copy of Jambalaya (and I have to say the paper used is a whole throw back of how paper used to be in the 90s and early 2000s)
